R&D
We believe knowledge is key to challenging boundaries and driving improvement across our dynamic industry.
Our vision for a greener, safer, and more sustainable maritime world, starts within our very own RD&I department which sees our team actively lead or participate in exciting and innovative projects together with renowned Industry Partners, Academic Institutions and Governments.
This continuous learning process is reflected in our internal processes and services, translating into tangible benefits for our clients
Research and collaborations
- We are actively involved in the green revolution within the marine industry and invest in research on novel technologies, relating to the electrification of vessels, as well as the use of new fuels such as hydrogen and the implementation of fuel cells in propulsive arrangements. Such advancements are reflected in our conceptual designs to ensure that we define the state-of-the-art. We ensure not to compromise function or performance when considering the implementation of greener technologies and decarbonisation. Our goal is to prioritise both aspects and focus our efforts to overcome any challenges to achieve the best compromise.
- This is done through collaborations with universities, makers, research projects and student secondments. This allows us to engage in continuous development, areas of interest and provide feedback to academia and technology suppliers about current and future market requirements.
